Knowledge and the right tools combined help us use apply universal laws most effectively. Just as we are, our pets are energetic beings having a physical experience too. Taking care of the physical along with the energetic creates incredible leverage for attracting and accepting harmonic wellbeing into the lives of our pets and ultimately ourselves.
Below are just a few of the incredible resources that I use both in my work and in supporting my own pets in enjoying harmony in every area of their lives. Just a little bit of effort has been more than well worth it: my vet continues to be thrilled with the health and vitality of my own animals, always citing they are the healthiest she's ever seen! We even use energy work when we visit her...and the experience is pleasant and peaceful for us all. There's a bit of celebrity feeling, for as we walk in the staff always greets us with "ooh! it's the smell and feel good lady, and those adorable boys!" Cats are usually standoffish...but I can tell you , we don't mind a bit!
There are so many options available for every situation imaginable, take the time to research and find those items that will be support your needs. And of course, do some energy work on yourself if you feel blocked or need to find something really special...
Reference Books:
Just
as with tools, there are a ton of incredible and wonderful resource books in
print. The following are my personal favorites - especially as they are
well in alignment with the energy of my work. The first two books
featured are especially special to me, as they were written by my dear friend
and leading pet authority as well as my own personal EFT mentor, CJ
Puotenin. You'll find all these references to come from the perspective
of love, wellbeing and harmony...
Pet Wellbeing Resources:
Water
is just as important to our pets' wellbeing as ours, and having clean,
refreshing water tends result in pets who drink more and more
frequently, supporting their body systems including their emotional and
mental wellbeing too.
Spread the Pet Harmony:
The Hudson Valley Humane Society Visiting Pet
Program sponsors highly specifically trained owner and animal partners into
therapeutic and educational facilities for the purposes of creating real-life
experiences of affection and connection to people who may not be able to make
connections for a variety of reasons. The animals provide a non-judgmental social interaction that sponsors
feelings of relaxation and acceptance. The program visits assisted living facilities, nursing homes, adult day
programs, Alzheimer's units, psychiatric wards and the occasional juvenile
detention facility.“Since pets were
first allowed in America’s hospitals and nursing homes, researchers have
documented the benefits of their visits,” notes CJ Puotinen, HVHSP program co-founder.
In addition to the therapeutic
facilities, the Hudson Valley Humane Society's Visiting Pet Program is also an
affiliate of Reading Education Assistance Dogs, a nationwide program that aims
to improve the literacy skills of children by having them read to READ's
registered therapy animals. (Pictured here are CJ Puotinen, EFT-ADV, expert pet author and HVSVP program co-founder along with Chloe her visiting pet partner!)
HVHSVP operates as an affiliate program of Delta Society, an international organization that trains and screens volunteers and their pets for animal-assisted
programs in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, schools and
other facilities. The Delta Pet Partners Program ensures that ‘both ends of the
leash,’ people as well as animals, are well prepared to participate in
animal-assisted activity and animal-assisted therapy. Delta Society
provides liability insurance for those who complete the handler training,
successfully pass the team evaluation, and register with the organization.
