INTUITION

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”  Albert Einstein

Can you feel the rhythms that rise in and around you, bringing images and understandings that

have no basis in conventional thinking?  No matter whether you have conscious awareness or feel bereft of any universal connection, just as we are born with the senses of smell, taste, touch, hearing and vision so too are we all gifted with our own internal GPS system, our intuition.  Our intuition is there for us to access, develop, hone and use to help us create a life of abundant prosperity and harmony...if we know how.

As with any skill, intuition requires a little knowledge and a bit of practice.  That’s really all there is to it.  Really.  It’s not a mystical, magical or religious experience though if accessed properly it can feel mystically magical and lead us to a deepening of our spiritual understanding in ways we could never have reached through cognition alone.  As my inspirational teacher Laura Day often says, we all need our intuition to live safely and successfully.  But we need to learn to use this important skill in real time.  For when you're walking alone at night or just about to go into the potentially hostile client's office, you can't stop the world and have everyone wait while you get into a medative state to access your intuition!  We need to learn how to use it...now...whenever that is.

If you have yet to create the life you wish or a certain success in a particular area, your intuition hasn’t failed you nor are you without this amazing gift.  Merely, stuck energy, misunderstanding and lack of training have left you without the reliable aid of one of the most vital components of your creative abilities.  But our intuition is always there, awaiting our awakening and practice.

Faith is a passionate intuition.” William Wordsworth

Just as the GPS, or global positioning system, of a ship at sea requires both correct programming and skilled review for it to be effective at guiding the ship safely to it’s final destination.  Without correct data input the system will function but result in false readings.  Given appropriate data but inept review, the results can be just as disastrous.

“The power of intuitive understanding will protect you from harm until the end of your days.” Lao-Tzu

Intuition, though often described as a “feeling,” has nothing to do with emotion or logical thought.  In fact, most often you can bet your intuition is at work when the information presented is unusual, anything but run-of-the mill and isn’t connected to anything else known.  The instinct to go a different direction, make a call at an unusual time or start from a new point of view are all commonly intuitive responses.  It’s our conscious minds that question, assign meaning and dismiss that cause us difficulty.  We can endeavor to navigate our course continuing on without the support of our internal guidance systems, or we can demystify this essential and inherent gift so we can stop repeating our past unproductive patterns.

"If you only believe what you see, then you are limited to what's on the surface. If you only believe what you see, then why do you pay your electric bill?" Dr. Wayne Dyer

Is intuition important?  As author John Naisbitt states so eloquently, “Intuition becomes increasingly valuable in the new information society precisely because there is so much data.”  Our reality increasingly compels us to weed through overwhelming quantities of information and take decisive actions on a daily basis.  Less and less are we availed of the luxury of time in researching, deciding and pondering.  Just as in centuries past intuition was required to help bridge the gap between thought and limited facts, now intuition is required to cull through the overabundance of facts and connect the meaningful to right thought in order to create success.  Intuition is fundamental, essential and critical to our daily life let alone creative manifesting.

As you clear the stuck energy of past pains and negative underlying programming away, a miracle of revelation occurs organically.  This wonderful gift, this knowing without reason begins to emerge as a constant support, always there at the ready.  Call it Universal Consciousness, Divine Guidance, or our God Positioning System, we discover this inner knowing is always with us.  With continued practice, we can learn to remove our conscious mind chatter and emotional responses to the information presented.  We can learn how to recognize our own intuition, and then to incorporate this astoundingly creative information in our increasingly effective manifesting skills.  Understanding, accessing and directing our intuition is the key to creating the abundance we desire...in Living Harmony.
